A quick guide

Four steps get you set up. The rest is there when you need it.

Getting started

1. Add your bills

   Tap Add a bill, then enter its name, amount and day of the month. Common bills like rent, phone or electricity are one tap away, and the app guesses the category from the name.

2. Tick them as you pay

   Each bill sits on its day, with a line showing today. Tap the box when you pay it. Anything late turns red, so nothing slips by.

3. Set your payday

   Tap Next paycheck, choose how often you’re paid and enter your take-home pay. You’ll see what’s due before payday and what’s left after it.

4. Turn on reminders

   In Settings, open Reminders and choose how many days before a due day, and at what time. Allow notifications when your iPhone asks.

Bills that don’t come every month

When you add or edit a bill, set Repeats to every 3 months, every 6 months or every year. These bills are gathered under Not monthly, with their next due dates and what they come to over the next 12 months.

Start and end months

Under Runs, set when a bill starts and ends, for a loan with a last payment, say. A bill with an end month shows it on its row, and its final payment reads Last payment.

More than one job

In your pay schedule, tap Add another paycheck for a second or third job. Each one has its own name, schedule and pay, and counts toward what’s left before your next paycheck.

Safety cushion

Choose 3 or 6 months to see what that many months of your bills comes to, or tap any month to see the amount up to it.

Cutting back and paying off

Cut back lists your loans, credit cards and subscriptions with what they cost a month and a year. Tap the scissors to plan cutting one and see what you’d save. Nothing changes until you stop the bill yourself.

Paid a loan or card off early? Open it and tap Paid it off early?. Choose the month of your last payment and enter the amount. The loan ends, its history stays, and it joins your wins under Cut back.

Widgets

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Bill Schedule.

Your data

Turn on iCloud sync in Settings to keep your bills the same on all your devices signed in to your Apple Account. You can also Download backup to save a copy, and Restore from backup to bring it back. Reports can be saved as PDF or CSV.

Other settings

• Face ID lock keeps the app locked when you leave it. Your passcode always works too.
• Currency follows your iPhone’s region, or choose any currency. Amounts are never converted.
• Appearance and App icon let you choose how the app looks.
